As a result, the Order has adopted the following guidelines:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-buttons is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-buttons-is-layout-fe9cc265 wp-block-buttons-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-text-link\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/cpaquebec.wp.vortexdev.com\/en\/security-and-privacy\/protection-of-personal-information\/\">Personal information protection guideline<\/a><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button is-style-text-link\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link wp-element-button\" href=\"https:\/\/cpaquebec.wp.vortexdev.com\/en\/security-and-privacy\/ligne-directrice-relative-aux-temoins-de-connexion\/\">Cookie guideline<\/a><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The Order has also adopted a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/cpaquebec.wp.vortexdev.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/protocole_communication_renseignements_fr.pdf\" data-type=\"attachment\" data-id=\"1019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">protocol for the disclosure of information<\/a>&nbsp;(in French only). The protocol sets the framework for communications between the&nbsp;<strong>Comit\u00e9 de d\u00e9cision en mati\u00e8re d&#8217;assurance responsabilit\u00e9 professionnelle<\/strong>&nbsp;and the Order\u2019s other bodies, as provided in the&nbsp;<em>Professional Code<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n<section class=\"block-accordions-group accordion-container aligndefault wp-block-vortex-blocks-accordions-group\">\n  \n\n<div id=\"member-information\" class=\"accordion ac\" data-open-by-default=\"false\">\n  <div class=\"accordion__accordion\">\n    <button class=\"accordion__header-row accordion-toggle ac-header ac-trigger\">\n      \n      <p class=\"accordion__header__title\">          Member information      <\/p>\n      <span class=\"accordion__header__icon\" role=\"presentation\">\n          <span class=\"plus\"><\/span>\n      <\/span>\n    <\/button>\n    <div class=\"accordion__sub-rows wysiwyg ac-panel\">\n      \n\n<p>Under the <em>Professional Code<\/em> and the <em>Act respecting access to documents held by public bodies and the protection of personal information<\/em>, the Order collects and keeps information about its members. Some information must be available to the public, i.e. business addresses and telephone numbers, accounting designations, and limitations of members\u2019 rights to engage in professional activities. Email addresses provided to the Order are not public information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Anyone can access a member\u2019s public information with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/cpaquebec.wp.vortexdev.com\/en\/general-public\/find-a-cpa\/orders-membership-roll\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"11388\">Membership roll<\/a><\/strong> search tool on our website, by entering the CPA\u2019s public accountancy permit number, or their last name and first initial. However, the search engine only finds one person at a time and cannot create lists for mass marketing purposes. Certain information (e.g., name and place of professional practice) concerning candidates who carry out professional activities as part of a professional training period is available upon request by contacting the Order at the following address:&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:candidatCPA@cpaquebec.ca\">candidatCPA@cpaquebec.ca<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n    <\/div>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Provision of contact information to business partners<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Only members and candidates having duly authorized the provision of their contact information receive marketing communications from Order business partners. However, the Order is in no way responsible for the potential transmission of computer viruses.
